About Autism Society of North Carolina

Our mission is to improve the lives of individuals with autism, support their families, and educate communities. We strive to be the trusted partner for all people with autism as they lead fulfilling lives, be as independent as possible, and achieve their goals and dreams. Our support is always founded on respect and value for the unique individuals we serve. This is why we provide services that are tailored to their individual needs. Not only are we helping to improve their lives, but they are also improving ours!

When you join our team, you become part of a force for good that is bigger than you. Each team member brings their unique talents and abilities to the table, and we all learn from each other. This makes us a lot more like a team, rather than just a workplace. Our culture is welcoming and supportive because we want to help our employees succeed just as much as we want to help the individuals we serve.

Why join us?

"Every single person that you come into contact with makes you feel welcome, which provides a sense of comfort and acceptance, even if you have never met before. It helps you feel like you fit into this family and you are where you’re meant to be... all the supervisors help you be the best professional you can possibly be... they always have your back."

"I like being an RBT because we use ABA principles, which allow us to make socially significant behavior changes. I love analyzing behavior and determining how we can help promote positive change to improve an individual’s life. Being an RBT, specifically, is rewarding because you are the person implementing the goals. Your actions are making a difference. The progress that you see is amazing and it’s your hard work and dedication that is helping to make that change. Being able to look back and think, “yeah, I did that. I made a positive difference in someone else’s life” is one of the most rewarding feelings."
